Jillian Spies

Department of Forest Resources Management

Jillian Spies collaborated with four First Nations communities in the Williams Lake area to develop key indicators for the inclusion of First Nations heritage values into forest management planning software at the landscape level. Her research also presented ways that forestry can become an important pillar for the economic welfare of the community by creating job opportunities in rural areas.
