Dr. Carlos Ormond is the Director of the Haida Gwaii Institute (HGI), a partnership between the Haida Gwaii Higher Education Society and UBC Faculty of Forestry. Carlos is dedicated to working with strategic initiatives that support the improvement of communities and the ecological systems that they inhabit. Carlos brings over 10 years of teaching and research experience in education, community development and environmental science.
